Anyone else notice how 2012 was the firt year without an in cannon episode of madness, since the series started? Think about it:

08: Inundation
09: Aggregation and the first prequel 5.5
10: Madness 6.5
11: Aborgation alongside the last prequel 7.5

2012 had nothing but a couple incidents. Just an interesting observation I thought I'd share.
