In my opinion, a single part episode would be better, even if we have to wait even longer, we can handle it. Dividing an episode in parts directly impacts the pacing, the two part of 9.5 don't feel like the two parts of a single episode (I consider 9.5 part 1 to be 8.5 since it takes place right after episode 7), even when watched back to back.

I kind of agree. 9.5 could have been done in one shot and in my head I can't figure out if that's preferable!
