I remember Time to Kill and Land of the Babes most fondly, but I had Duke Nukem 3D as well and they all kicked massive ass.
I'm not sure how I would react to another developer taking the reigns; not too enthusiatically though, I would guess in my heart.

its ok, maybe somthing will happen.
Who cares about Doom 3? it still blew Balls, even if it was released, the fact that it sucked THAT MUCH, brought the series down anyway, but anyone who knows the fact that the early duke nukems brought us the first good action games. If duke nukem forever was released, it would have made duke nukem 100% more awsome, if possible. Now compare duke nukem with Doom, Duke Nukem Kicks A$$ And Doom sucks Balls.
