I reckon the lightning would look better with a light blue glow rather than the dark blue glow you used in MC10. Also you made much of the lightning with zigzags but it might look better if it was wilder, more random and chaotic than zigzags. Anyway good luck and I can't wait!!

You should get Swain to write some code that automatically gives you those lightning and fire effects. A little perlin noise with some height modifiers, mixed in with a directional ease and some curved lines here and there, and you'd have a very good fire effect.
