You get to have their powers, so what's the point of being villains? Also, AAHW mode is a maybe thing where you play as enemies of Hank, so.

The way I understood the level system, the characters start on a similar level as their Project Nexus 1 counterparts, but then rise above even that until they are godlike engines of destruction.
I'd imagine that if the Auditor was playable he'd start out similar to his Madness 8 form (Teleportation upon being hit, weapon spawning) and then reach his Madness 10 level (Partial Intangibility upon being hit, transformation, absorbtion, energy attacks, Super Zombification.)

I read nothing sounding like that. What I read was your Arena powers would progress like that whilst Story Mode characters remained the same.

It seems like it's going to be less of a forward shooter, and you get to do things like target two enemies at once with akimbo firearms. Can't wait.
